Predisposing factors which are not always avoidable should be identified and managed where possible may include:
- Stress
- Depression or anxiety
- Menstruation
- Menopause
- Identifying and avoiding trigger factors can reduce the frequency of attacks in a number of individuals, though many attacks have no obvious trigger and those that are identified may not be avoidable.
- A headache diary may be used to record the frequency, duration, and severity of headaches, to monitor the effectiveness of treatment, and to use as a basis for discussion with your GP.
- Please let us know about the frequency, severity, potential triggers and effect on quality of life when completing our questionnaire
